Shares of Bharat Electronics will be closely watched on Wednesday as the defence PSU announces its interim dividend. Bharat Electronics' share price saw an uptick a day ahead of the board meeting to consider dividends.
The defence company Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BEL) last month announced that its board will consider an interim dividend for FY25 today, March 5.
As per the filing, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, the 5th of March, 2025, to consider, inter alia, the declaration of interim dividends for the financial year 2024-25.
The BEL dividend record date is also likely to be announced along with the dividend amount today. For the current fiscal year 2024–2025, this will be the first interim dividend paid by PSU Bharat Electronics, which has Navratna status.

The most recent dividend was a final payment of Rs 0.80 per share, made on August 14, 2024. Before this, BEL paid dividends of Rs 0.70 in both March and February 2024.
In 2023, the total dividend paid to shareholders by Bharat Electronics amounted to Rs 1.80 per share. As of the end of the December quarter, the company's total order book was valued at Rs 71,100 crore.
Shares of the company are trading higher by 2.72% at Rs 271.74. The dividend yield is at 0.81%.
