Delhi stretch of Namo Bharat Corridor now fully electrified and ready for trial runs
With the process of operationalising the entire Delhi segment of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, NCRTC has reached yet another noteworthy milestone. At 25 kV, the Over Head Equipment (OHE) between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar stations has now been successfully charged. This indicates that the section is electrified and prepared for train traffic. This segment's trial runs are about to start.

The 82.15-kilometer (51.05-mile) Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (Delhi–Meerut RRTS) is a partially operational rapid rail system that will link the cities of Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut in the National Capital Region (NCR). It is the first of four rapid rail corridors planned as part of the National Capital Region Transport Corporation's (NCRTC) RapidX project's first phase.
