Water treatment firm, VA Tech Wabag secures orders worth Rs 360 crore from two PSUs
The scope of work includes Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and is scheduled to be completed over a 24-month period, followed by six months of Operation and Maintenance (O&M).

The Chennai-based desalination and water treatment solutions company, VA Tech Wabag has informed the exchanges that it has secured orders totalling Rs 340 crore from Gail (India) and Indian Oil Corporation.
The order includes the Design, Build, and Operation (DBO) of a 450 m³/hr UF & RO-based Effluent Recycle Plant, an evaporator-based Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant, a new Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the augmentation of an existing Wastewater Treatment Plant for GAIL (India) Ltd.'s integrated petrochemical complex in Pata, Uttar Pradesh.

Gail has been appointed by Projects and Development India Limited (PDIL) as the Engineer-in-Charge for this project, VA Tech Wabag said in an exchange filing. The recovered water from this facility will be used as cooling tower makeup water.
Also, the Wabag has secured a repeat Operation and Maintenance (O&M) order from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) worth Rs 20 crore towards O&M of the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at IOCL Panipat Refinery, Haryana, for an additional three-year period.
Since its commission, WABAG has been entrusted with the O&M of this plant. This TTRO plant was designed, constructed, and commissioned by WABAG nearly two decades ago and is the first industrial water recycling plant in the oil and gas sector in the country.
