About Jatayu Dashboard
Jatayu Dashboard: An Initiative of SECL Vigilance & Systems Department
In the great epic Ramayana, Jatayu was a symbol of vigilance, duty and unwavering commitment to Dharma. Despite being old and weak, he fought valiantly to prevent Ravana from abducting Sita, demonstrating his dedication to justice and security. Inspired by this spirit, the Vigilance & Systems Department of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) has developed Jatayu Dashboard - which will work towards providing a one-stop solution to solve work-related challenges.
This initiative ensures that officers are aware of the relevant rules, guidelines and norms, thereby eliminating doubts in work operations and making decisions easier. The dashboard consolidates circulars, guidelines and SOPs issued by key entities such as Department of Public Enterprises, Department of Expenditure, Department of Personnel and Training, CVC, Coal India Limited and SECL. The documents are systematically categorized by issuing agency, sector, subject, year and date, with proper tagging for accessible searching.
AI-enabled chatbot for better user experience
The team envisioned further enhancing the Jatayu dashboard by integrating an AI-powered chatbot that would provide reliable, instant responses to officers’ queries. Unlike traditional AI searches on the open web, this chatbot would fetch solutions exclusively from the dashboard’s verified resources, ensuring authenticity and relevance while minimizing misinformation.
User Contributions and Continuous Enhancement
The Jatayu dashboard also has a “Contributions” section, which allows officers to suggest inclusion of missing resources by uploading relevant PDFs. These submissions will be reviewed by the admin and incorporated into the repository.
In the coming days, the AI ??chatbot will be trained with frequently asked questions (FAQs) related to tendering, contract management, land and rehabilitation, finance, human resources, and key operational areas.
This initiative is set to become one of the most innovative AI-powered solutions developed by a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), truly serving as a one-stop solution for officials in their daily work.
