SECL Bids Farewell to 13 Employees Retiring from Headquarters, Honours Their Years of Dedicated Service
Bilaspur, May 31, 2026: South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) accorded a heartfelt farewell to 13 employees retiring from its headquarters in Bilaspur on May 31, 2026. The retiring personnel were honoured with shawls, ceremonial coconuts, floral garlands, and retirement settlement cheques during a special ceremony held at the CMD Chamber of the SECL Headquarters.
A formal farewell function was also organised at the Conference Hall of the Administrative Building on May 30, 2026, in the presence of senior management, department heads, trade union representatives, officers, and employees.
The event was graced by Director (Technical Operations) Shri N. Franklin Jayakumar as the Chief Guest. Director (Finance) Shri Darla Sunil Kumar and Director (Technical Planning & Projects) Shri Ramesh Chandra Mahapatra were also present, alongside senior officials from various departments.
Employees from Diverse Departments Honoured on Retirement
The ceremony recognised the contributions of employees from multiple departments, including Engineering, Civil, Survey, Quality, Medical, Security, Finance, Transport, Pension, Electrical, and Materials Management.
Among those honoured were Shri Saktivel, General Manager (E&T); Shri A.K. Patnaik, General Manager (Civil); Shri R.K. Bharat, Senior Manager (Survey); Shri Ajay Dutta Choudhary, Senior Technical Inspector; Smt. Vinita Masih, Matron; Shri Prakash Kumar Dwivedi, Security Sub-Inspector; Shri Sunil Nair, Assistant Supervisor; Shri Narayan Achary, Assistant Supervisor; Shri Bajrang Chauhan, Peon; Shri Chaitram Kurmi, Electrician; and Smt. Anarkali Banjare, among others.
The contributions of Shri B.N. Jha, General Manager (Mining), and Shri Manoj Mishra, Senior Manager (Survey), who are also retiring on May 31, 2026, were acknowledged during the event.
