NTPC Signs 300 MW PPA with Evren for Solar-Based Renewable Energy Development
Evren will build almost 1 GW of renewable energy infrastructure under the PPA, which will include massive solar PV projects backed by wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

An important milestone for India's solar power landscape has been reached when state-owned energy leader NTPC Ltd. and Evren, a renewable energy platform introduced by Brookfield in India, signed a 300 MW power purchase agreement (PPA). Solar energy is a key component of the generation mix, and the agreement focusses on increasing firm and dispatchable green energy.

A significant amount of the capacity is anticipated to come from solar, supporting India's efforts to increase clean power production and lessen its reliance on fossil fuels.
The project intends to overcome the intermittency issue of solar generation by combining solar with battery storage to deliver steady and dependable energy to the grid. The solar capacity created under this agreement will make a substantial contribution to NTPC's expanding non-fossil energy asset portfolio.
