NTPC Green Energy forms Joint Venture with MAHAPREIT for RE projects
NTPC-MAHAPREIT Green Energy Limited will be engaged in the business of developing, operating and maintaining Renewable Energy Parks including UMREPP/ RE Projects comprising of Solar/Wind/Hybrid with or without Storage up to 10 GW capacities in Maharashtra and any other state in India.
New Delhi: Renewable Energy Stock, NTPC Green Energy has announced through exchange filing that “NTPC-MAHAPREIT GREEN ENERGY LIMITED”, has been incorporated on 08.04.2025 as a 74:26 joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT).
Further, it stated that NTPC-MAHAPREIT Green Energy Limited will be engaged in the business of developing, operating and maintaining Renewable Energy Parks including UMREPP/ RE Projects comprising of Solar/Wind/Hybrid with or without Storage up to 10 GW capacities in Maharashtra and any other state in India.

Ministry of Power (MOP), Govt. of India has forwarded concurrence of DIPAM and NITI Aayog, which conveyed the approval for formation of JVC between NGEL, a subsidiary of NTPC Limited and Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT).
On Second note, NTPC Renewable Energy, subsidiary of NTPC Green has stated that the company has commences the operation of second part of 90 MW of 150 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-I.
The company stated through exchange filing that consequent upon successful commissioning, the second part capacity of 90 MW out of 150 MW Dayapar Wind Energy Project Phase-I of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited at Dayapar, Bhuj, Gujarat, under 450 MW Hybrid Project is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 09.04.2025.
Shares of NTPC Green Energy are trading at Rs 95.51, down by 0.94%
