NTPC Declares Ban on Single Use Plastic on 1st October 2019

New Delhi: Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC has declared a ‘Ban on Single Use Plastic’ at all NTPC premises today Oct 1st, 2019 on the eve of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

 

CMD emphasised on the need to bring out a policy and action plan to implement ‘Integrated Plastic Waste Management’ in NTPC. Also, on successful implementation of the same, NTPC can demonstrate how to manage plastic waste in an environment friendly manner.

 

On the occasion, Shri Saptarshi Roy, Director (HR ) said that to address the issue of plastic pollution, all premises of NTPC shall be free from Single Use Plastic.

 

Shri A.K Gupta, Director (Commercial), Shri S.K Roy, Director (Projects) and Senior officials were present on the occasion.

 

A film on the theme ‘Banning use of single use plastic in NTPC ’ was also launched by CMD, which was well appreciated.
