NTPC Achieves Record Biomass Utilization in March 2025, Advancing India's Zero-Waste Mission

In a major milestone towards sustainability, NTPC has achieved its highest-ever monthly utilization of 1,02,035 metric tonnes of biomass pellets in March 2025.

These pellets, made from agricultural waste, are co-fired in thermal power plants to generate electricity, reducing carbon emissions and promoting efficient waste management. This initiative supports India's Zero Waste vision by transforming waste into a valuable energy source while also benefiting farmers and rural communities.

On this International Day of Zero Waste, NTPC's efforts highlight the potential of renewable energy in shaping a cleaner, greener future for the nation.
