NHPC Officials Brief Parliamentary Committee on Power Projects Challenges in India

Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC, and Shri U.K. Nand, Executive Director (PMSG), along with other senior officials of NHPC, participated in a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Estimates. The session, held in Chennai on 29th December 2025, focused on the examination of the subject ‘Power Projects in India – Issues & Challenges’.

During the meeting, Director (Projects) Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh provided a detailed briefing on NHPC’s ongoing projects, operational power stations, future plans, and key challenges faced in the power sector. The discussions highlighted strategies to overcome operational and developmental challenges, reinforcing NHPC’s role in supporting India’s energy infrastructure goals.

The meeting was conducted under the guidance of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, ensuring alignment with national energy objectives.
