NHPC Power Up: Commenced 300 MW Grid Connected Solar PV Project in Rajasthan

Rajasthan: The Classified Navratna PSU, Hydropower Stock, National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC Ltd) has announced that the 300 MW Grid-Connected Solar PV Project commenced on 31 March 2025 in Rajasthan.
According to the filing, it is to inform that the 300 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project has been connected with ISTS and started injecting 31 MW power in the grid on 31.03.2025. The commercial declaration of part capacity of 100 MW in phases shall be intimated in due course. The complete 300 MW Solar Project is likely to be commissioned by 31.08.2025.
The company has also informed about the commencement of commercial operation of 600 MW of electricity from three units of the Parbati-II HE project in Himachal Pradesh.

In a separate filing, the company has stated that after the successful completion of trial runs, NHPC declares commercial operation (COD) of Unit#1, Unit#2 & Unit#3 (each 200 MW) of Parbati-II HE Project (4x200 MW), Himachal Pradesh from 00:00 hours on 01.04.2025. The trial run and COD of balance Unit#4 (200 MW) will be intimated in due course.
Parbati Hydroelectric Project (Stage-II) is a run-of-the-river scheme proposed to harness the hydro potential of the lower reaches of the river Parbati. The river is proposed to be diverted with a Concrete Gravity Dam at Village Pulga in Parbati valley through a 31.52 Km long Head Race Tunnel, and the Power House shall be located at village Suind in Sainj valley.
