New Delhi: A new Surface Miner was commissioned into service of the nation by Shri AK Swarankar, General Manager (Hingula Area) today at Balram OCP in Talcher Coalfields.

A Sl.No.087 of L&T, it's 23rd member in the fleet of surface miners in MCL's Excavation Dept.
In 1999, MCL had introduced surface miners, as an environment-friendly technology, for the first time in Indian coal sector.
