Fertilizer PSU Stock: NFL to be part of proposed JV firm to be build for urea plant in Assam

State-run National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) will be involved in a proposed joint venture aimed at establishing a urea plant in Assam.

In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, NFL announced that its board has expressed a willingness to participate in the joint venture proposed by the Department of Fertilizers, contributing 18 percent equity for the development of a new ammonia-urea complex at the Namrup IV Fertilizer Plant in Assam.

The government has stated in this year’s Budget that the plant will have an annual capacity of 1.27 million tonnes.
