Coal India Inter-Company Cricket Tournament 2024-25 Concludes with BCCL Emerging Victorious, WCL as Runner-Up

Coal India Inter-Company Cricket Tournament 2024-25 Concludes with BCCL Emerging Victorious, WCL as Runner-Up

BCCL team was the winner and WCL team was the runner-up in the "Coal India Inter Company Cricket Tournament 2024-25 " played in Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) from 03 to 07 February 2025. In the final match of the tournament , BCCL team defeated WCL team and achieved this victory.

In the final match, BCCL batted first and scored 157 runs in 20 overs . Chasing the target, WCL scored 141 runs in 19.1 overs. Mr. Abhinandan Kumar of BCCL team was chosen as the " Man of the Match". Mr. Sultan Ahmed of WCL team was awarded the "Best Batsman" and Mr. Sachin Tiwari of BCCL team was awarded the "Best Bowler". Mr. Siddharth Suman of BCCL team was declared the "Man of the Tournament".

WCL 's Director Technical (Operations) Mr Anil Kumar Singh was present as the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony. Director (Finance) Mr Bikram Ghosh, Director Technical (Planning & Projects) Mr Anandji Prasad and Director (Personnel) Dr Hemant Pandey were present as special guests.

Director (Personnel) Dr. Hemant Pandey delivered the welcome address at the function. He gave his best wishes to all the players and motivated them for good performance in future. In his presidential address, Director Technical (Operations) Shri Anil Kumar Singh spoke in detail about the excellent sports culture of WCL and congratulated the winning team and wished the runner-up team all the best for the future. A large number of trade union members, senior officers and employees including the members of the Steering Committee and Welfare Board were present at the function.
