CMD NHPC Meets Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh
New Delhi: Shri Abhay Kumar Singh, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC met Shri Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh on 07.03.2020 at Himachal Sadan, New Delhi. NHPC evinced its keen interest in taking up new projects in Himachal Pradesh. During the meeting, issues regarding execution of 449 MW Dugar Hydroelectric Project allotted to NHPC and three more hydroelectric projects in Himachal Pradesh, i.e. 260 MW Sach Khas, 130 MW Rashil and 104 MW Tandi were discussed. These four projects altogether have capacity of over 900 MW involving expenditure of about Rs 10,000 crore. Hon’ble Chief Minister assured full support of the Government of Himachal Pradesh towards the endeavors of NHPC and desired to have detailed discussion after the assembly session. He also urged NHPC to take up more CSR activities in Himachal Pradesh.
