CMD, CMPDI inaugurates workshop on Knowledge Management

New Delhi: Shri Manoj Kumar, CMD, CMPDI today on August 26, 2022 inaugurated the One Day workshop on Knowledge Management at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi. Shri R.N. Jha, Director (Technical/RD&T) and S.K. Gomasta, Director (Technical/CRD/ES) were present on the occasion.
Shri Kumar in his address said that in the era of global competition, a company needs not only the industrial economy to survive, but the knowledge, experience and intellectual qualities/property of the employees should be accumulated and sharing it with other employees is necessary. If knowledge sharing and accumulation is done in the right way, then in any industry, the time taken for re-generation or recreation of the completed work and its working methods can be better utilized for exploring new methods which can increase the productivity, leading to an increase in the gross profits of the industry.
He further said that by sharing the knowledge, experience and intellectual qualities of our experienced, skilled and expert personnel with other employees and storing it at the appropriate place using appropriate information technology and making its access in an easy and convenient way will serve as benchmark for future generation to utilize the storaged/accumulated knowledge for further research/application.
On the occasion, Shri R.N Jha, Director (Technical/RD&T), CMPDI said that knowledge management is a relevant topic in today's perspective. Change over time is an eternal process. This gives new options. The aim should be to first acquire knowledge, then to accumulate and manage it. Shri S.K. Gomasta, Director (Technical/CRD/ES) said that the discovery of knowledge is a continuous process. There should be a zeal to embrace the better things/alternatives of the world in one's daily routine. This objective can be achieved through knowledge documentation.
Knowledge Management Leaders from all the regional institutes of CMPDI participated in this workshop apart from Headquarters Ranchi.
Earlier Shri. P.K Sharan Technical Secretary to Director (Technical/CRD/ES) welcomed the guests. Shri Ashok Kumar Mishra, Deputy Manager (Secretarial) stateed the objective of the workshop through a presentation. The vote of thanks was given by Smt. Shweta Saini, Deputy Manager (HRD).
