CIL offered 20 of its closed underground coal mines to private sector
On this occasion, Union Minister of Coal, Shri Pralhad Joshi said- In the presence of Minister of State for Coal, Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, the process of restarting 20 closed/dormant mines on revenue share model was launched.

New Delhi: Hon'ble Union Minister of Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs, Prahlad Joshi inaugurated an investor meet in Mumbai in which Coal India Limited has offered 20 of its closed/dormant underground coal mines to the private sector on revenue sharing model.
On this occasion Mr. Raosaheb Patil Danve, Minister of State for Coal, Mines and Railways, Dr. Anil Kumar Jain, Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Coal, Shri. Pramod Agarwal, Chairman, CIL and Mr. M. Nagaraju, Additional Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Coal were present.
On this occasion, Union Minister of Coal, Shri Pralhad Joshi said- In the presence of Minister of State for Coal, Shri Raosaheb Patil Danve, the process of restarting 20 closed/dormant mines on revenue share model was launched.
These mines having coal reserve of around 380 MT will help in augmenting coal supply to TPPs and generate employment opportunities for the local people.
