A Major Fire Broke Out at NTPC Solar Plant in Gujarat; no personnel injuries cited on site

Late Monday night, a large fire started in a warehouse in Bhatiwada village, Dahod, Gujarat, that was housing equipment for NTPC's 70 MW solar power project that was still under construction. Officials say the fire began at 9:30 p.m. and lasted all night, necessitating a massive firefighting effort.
Fortunately, no one was hurt. Jagdish Bhandari, the deputy superintendent of police, attested to the safe evacuation of the four security guards and seven to eight employees who were on the scene. However, the fire destroyed nearly everything inside the warehouse, causing significant damage.

Meanwhile, the strong winds made the operation difficult, but the conscious response of firefighting teams from Dahod, Godhra, Jhalod, and Chhota Udepur was successful. According to a fire officer, several fire tenders were sent out right away after receiving the emergency call at 9:35 p.m.
