31st ITP Trainees Visit Sabarmati River Front
Ahmedabad: 31st ITP trainees were on visit to places in and around Ahmedabad on 29.01.2020 Viz. Sabarmati Ashram, Sabarmati River Front etc. Sabarmati river front was developed beautifully to a length of 12 km. This is worth visiting both in Engg & recreation point of view. DGM, Sabarmathi River Development Corporation Ltd apprised about the river front activities and challenges faced by them. Trainees were screened a short film on this too. Cycling facilities also there in the river front.
Trainees were taken to Command area of Narmada Canals too. The main idea is to give them the on field knowledge about various canal components like main canal, branch canal, distributory, minor, Sub- minor and field channel.
The command location was chosen by the project people in such a way that trainees could see all at one place. Further trainees were exposed to the underground pipeline used in the command for transfering the water.
