Power Grid has received LoIs for 3 TBCB Projects worth Rs 10,750 crore
State-owned Power Grid has received a Letter of Intent for three transmission projects worth Rs 10,750 crore.
The listed three projects are the transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ Ph-V (Part-1: 4 GW) [Sirohi/Nagaur] Complex, the augmentation of transformation capacity at Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS), and Transmission System for integration of Kurnool-IV REZ - phase-I (for 4.5 GW).
The first project comprises the augmentation of the under-construction Sirohi Substation in Rajasthan along with 765 kV D/C Transmission Lines (Sirohi-Mandsaur-Khandwa) in Rajasthan and MP.
The second project comprises ICT augmentation works at the existing substation Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS (GIS) in Gujarat. The third project comprises the establishment of a new 765/400/220 kV Kurnool IV Pooling Sub-Station and the augmentation of transformation capacity at the existing CPeta Substation in Andhra Pradesh.
The project also comprises 765 kV and 400 kV D/C transmission lines in Andhra Pradesh. All these three projects shall facilitate the evacuation of power from RE generation projects.
