The state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is preparing to bid alongside Reliance Industries Ltd in the 10th round of the Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP).

This latest bidding round, which encompasses 210,000 square kilometers of exploration acreage, is expected to be India’s largest to date. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri confirmed that the newly introduced legislation prevents the government from reimposing the windfall tax.

Speaking at India Energy Week, he described the ongoing energy exhibition as "much better than my expectations" and emphasized India's advancements in green energy, biofuels, green hydrogen, and compressed biogas. He also remarked that India has quickly become the world's second-largest energy forum in just three years.
