West Bengal: According to the South Eastern Railway, the cause of the train accident at Onda railway station in Bankura, West Bengal, was the driver of the moving goods train who overshot the red home signal. 

As a result, two goods trains collided with each other, causing the derailment of multiple wagons and affecting the train services in the region.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in this accident. The railway officials are yet to release further details about the incident, and the train services have been restored after the urgent repair work.

The incident happened early Sunday around 4 am at Ondagram railway station in West Bengal’s Bankura, It is mentioned that two goods trains hit the back of the other train that leads to significant damage.

South Eastern Railway official earlier said "Up line is fit for train movement at 7.45 am. Some trains have been cancelled. The cause collision is yet to be ascertained. Efforts are on to assess the cause that led to the mishap"

Moreover, due to this incident 14 trains have been cancelled, three have been diverted, and two trains have been short-terminated on the affected station of the Adra Division.
