WCL crossed milestone of 60 million tonnes of coal production
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has produced 60.20 million tonnes of coal as on 19 March 2023, which is 13.4% higher than the previous year. It is worth mentioning that this is the highest coal production done in any one financial year since the inception of WCL.

NEW DELHI- Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) has produced 60.20 million tonnes of coal as on 19 March 2023, which is 13.4% higher than the previous year. It is worth mentioning that this is the highest coal production done in any one financial year since the inception of WCL.
Mr. Manoj Kumar, CMD, congratulated Team WCL for these achievements. He further said that this historic growth in WCL is the result of several positive initiatives.
Wani Area contributed the maximum 15.02 million tonnes of coal in the company's 60.20 million tonnes of coal production. Similarly, 12.27 million tonnes of Umred area, 7.51 million tonnes of Ballarpur area and 7.98 million tonnes of Nagpur area have been a significant contribution of coal production.
The confidence of team WCL to achieve the target of 62 million tonnes of coal production for the financial year 2022-23 is clearly visible.
