WCL concludes Rajbhasha Hindi Pakhwada

New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited on Wednesday concludes the Rajbhasha Hindi Pakhwada, which started from 14 September 2022, and ended on 28 September 2022. In the closing and prize distribution ceremony, the Chief Guest, Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri Manoj Kumar presented Rajbhasha Shield to Pathakheda in "A" region and Vani in "B" region for doing maximum work in Hindi. In the closing ceremony, prizes were given to the winners of all the competitions organized during the fortnight.

CMD Shri Manoj Kumar in his address on this occasion said that Hindi is a simple language and we should adopt this language completely. He stressed on giving more encouragement for the spread of Hindi language. Describing the importance of mother tongue in life, he also talked about adopting local languages ??along with Hindi language. He called upon everyone to use Hindi language in day to day conversation as well as in office work.

The special guest of the program, Director Technical (Operations) Shri J. P. Dwivedi, in his address, while describing the Rajbhasha Pakhwada as a new beginning, urged that all should be devoted to the Hindi language throughout the year. Referring to the present situation, he said that the environment is conducive for the widespread use of Hindi language in Wakoli. Emphasizing on the use of simple words in the language, he urged the workers to do maximum work in the official language Hindi.

On this occasion Director Technical (Planning & Project) Shri A. Of. Singh made a special appearance. He conveyed his best wishes to the winners and participants of all the competitions.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the guests paid obeisance to Mother Saraswati and paid floral tributes to the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh on her birth anniversary. After this, General Manager (Personnel/Public Relations) and Rajbhasha Pramukh Shri P. Narendra Kumar welcomed all the guests by presenting the book. In his welcome address, he informed that competitions were organized on all 15 days of the fortnight. Competitions were organized for noting and writing, speech, self-composed poetry, slogan, antakshari, question forum etc. In addition, lectures and official language workshop were also organized. Referring to the increasing trend of Hindi in the company, he apprised about the various works taken for the purpose of promotion and propagation of Hindi language.

The first and second winners of the Company Level Self-Composed Poetry Competition, respectively, Shri Balachandra Ram, Nagpur Region and Shri Akshay Nigam, Pench Region, recited their compositions, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. In this concluding and prize distribution ceremony, a large number of personnel from the headquarters and areas were present. The program was conducted and the vote of thanks was done by the Deputy Manager (Official Language/Public Relations) Dr. Manoj Kumar.
