WCL celebrated 76 Republic Day at wcl campus

New Delhi: Function organized at the ground of the company's Indore campus, WCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri J.P. Dwivedi hoisted the National Flag and inspected the security parade. He further addressed Team WCL and presented awards to outstanding security personnel.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director Shri J.P. Dwivedi said in his address that the coal production done by WCL in this financial year is the highest for this period in any financial year since its inception. Sharing the status as on 25.01.2024, he informed that WCL has produced a total of 51.21 million tonnes of coal, which is 2.1% more than last year. He said that WCL has also performed remarkably in coal dispatch and overburden . In this financial year, till 25.01.2024, WCL has dispatched 54.21 million tonnes of coal and produced 289.58 million tonnes of coal. Million cubic meters of overburden has been removed. In his further address, Shri Dwivedi highlighted the achievements of the year. He expressed confidence that WCL will definitely achieve the target of coal production, dispatch and OB removal for this financial year.

WCL's Director Technical (Operations) Shri A.K. Singh, Director (Finance/Personnel) Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director Technical (Planning & Projects) Shri Anandji Prasad, Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre , President of Jhankar Mahila Mandal Smt. Abha Dwivedi , Vice President Smt. Indu Singh and Dr. Sonali Mhetre were specially present in the function. Members of the Steering Committee and Welfare Board , Department Heads , Senior Officers and employees were present in large numbers in the program.

 

During the Republic Day celebrations, all the regions of the company impressed everyone by presenting grand and attractive tableaux. The tableau of Majri region was awarded the first prize , the tableau of Nagpur region was awarded the second prize and the joint tableau of Pench and Kanhan regions was awarded the third prize.
