WAPCOS Celebrated 50th Foundation Day
New Delhi: WAPCOS Celebrated it's 50th Foundation Day on 3rd July. On the occasion Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister (Water Resources, River Development, Ganga Rejuvenation, Road Transport, Highways and Shipping) receiving Dividend plus Dividend Tax of Rs.50 Crore for the year 2017-2018 from Shri R.K. Gupta, CMD, WAPCOS, in the presence of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State; Dr. Satya Pal Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State and Hon’ble Ministers/Dignitaries from several Countries.
Ministers, Ambassadors and Leaders of Delegations from 23 Countries presented commendation certificates to Shri Gadkari for the contribution made by WAPCOS by developing projects and touching the lives of the people in these countries. The visiting delegations conveyed gratitude to the Government of India for partnering in socio-economic in their countries through WAPCOS. The Company has successfully completed/on-going consultancy assignments in countries covering Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific Islands and is operating in more than 45 Countries, at present.
WAPCOS has achieved the highest ever gross income of Rs 1110 crore during the year 2017-18. With the issuance of Bonus Shares of Rs. 35 crore, the Company’s paid up Capital has increased by 50 times during the last 8 years. The company’s profitability has touched Rs.180 Crore in 2017-18.
