Walkathon To Create Anti-Corruption Awareness Held By NLCIL
As part of Vigilance Awareness Week (VAW) 2024, the NLCIL Vigilance, Human Resource and Education Departments jointly organized a Walkathon on October 29, 2024, to promote awareness on integrity and anti-corruption. The event began with the Integrity Pledge, administered by Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLCIL, in the presence of Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR), and Thiru Appakannu Govindarajan, IPoS, Chief Vigilance Officer, NLCIL. Students, employees, and members of the public participated enthusiastically.
Following the pledge, CMD Motupalli flagged off the Walkathon from NLC Hospital Rountana. The rally proceeded along Dr. Ambedkar Road and Kamaraj Road, culminating at the Mahatma Gandhi Statue at Main Bazaar, Neyveli where the CMD, Director (HR), and CVO paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding the statue.

A placard competition was also held as part of the Walkathon, with participants proudly displaying powerful anti-corruption messages. Approximately 260 placards were evaluated for the competition, fostering creativity and deepening students understanding of vigilance, ethics, and anti-corruption values.
At the Gandhi Statue, where the walkathon concluded, participants were invited by CVO, NLCIL, to sign on the “Signature Wall” as a symbol of their commitment to integrity. A large number of employees, students, teachers, traders, and stakeholders participated, making the event grand success.
