Vivek Kumar Dewangen named as CMD of REC Ltd

New Delhi: 1993 batch IAS officer, Vivek Kumar Dewangen has named as the Chairman & Managing Director of a public Infrastructure Finance Company in India’s power sector REC Ltd, Ministry of Power. Currently, He is an Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Power. Earlier he also served as the Joint Secretary in power ministry.
REC Limited, formerly Rural Electrification Corporation Limited, is a public Infrastructure Finance Company in India’s power sector. The company is a Public Sector Undertaking and finances and promotes power projects across India.
The company provides loans to Central/State Sector Power Utilities in the country, State Electricity Boards, Rural Electric Cooperatives, NGOs and Private Power Developers.
