Vijay Chand takes charge as new Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Thermal

Shri Vijay Chand has taken charge as the new Head of Project at NTPC Talcher Thermal, effective July 10, 2024. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Shri Chand brings extensive experience and expertise in the power sector to his new role.

A Mechanical Engineering graduate, Shri Vijay Chand began his remarkable journey with NTPC as an Executive Trainee in 1989. Over the years, he has held several key positions across various NTPC locations, including Kahalgaon, Badarpur, Meja, Darlipalli, and the EOC in Noida. His leadership and dedication have been exemplary in every role he has undertaken.

Before his current appointment, Shri Chand served as the Head of Project at NTPC Badarpur. In his new role at NTPC Talcher Thermal, he will be responsible for overseeing all activities and coordinating efforts with the ongoing project work of Stage-III units of 1320 MW at Talcher Thermal in Odisha.
