NHPC has successfully commissioned Dam Toe Power House having installed capacity of 2.4 MW
NHPC has successfully commissioned Dam Toe Power House having installed capacity of 2.4 MW (3 x0.8 MW) on 19.11.2024 in the presence of Sh. R.K. Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC. Sh. Suprakash Adhikari, ED (O&M), Sh. Ram Swarup, ED RO-Jammu & Sh. Lakhmi Chand, HOP, Kishanganga & Kishanganga team were also present on the occasion.
This is one of the first Power Plant of NHPC which shall utilise ecological flow of 9.0 cumec being released from Dam. The Power generated by this plant shall be fed to the Dam auxiliaries and local grid benefiting the people of remote border areas in the Gurez valley, Bandipora (J&K) which remains cut off from the grid during winter season
