Sh. R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, THDCIL informed that another milestone was achieved in the construction of its 444 MW Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project (VPHEP). The erection of the Draft Tube for Unit #2 in the Power House has begun, marking a crucial step towards the installation of Electro-Mechanical Equipment.

With the successful placement of two segments of the draft tube liner, the project has achieved a key advancement, reflecting the relentless efforts of the team driving this initiative forward.

Sh. R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, THDCIL, extended his heartiest congratulations to the entire VPHEP team led by Sh. Ajay Verma (HoP, VPHEP) for their dedication and perseverance.

This achievement builds upon earlier milestones, including the commencement of concrete placement at the Central Overflow Block 3 of the Main Dam structure on October 22, 2024, the initiation of concreting work for Block 1 on January 18, 2024, and the completion of concreting for Block 5 on June 2, 2024.

Each milestone reflects THDCIL’s unwavering focus on maintaining the momentum of construction while upholding the highest standards of engineering excellence. The Vishnugad-Pipalkoti Hydro Electric Project is set to play a pivotal role in bolstering India’s renewable energy capacity.
