THDCIL celebrated Constitution Day

As per the guidelines of the Government of India, THDC India Limited (THDCIL), a leading PSU in the power generation sector, celebrated Constitution Day with enthusiasm and reverence across its Corporate Office, Project Sites, and Unit offices. The day marks the historic presentation of the Constitution by the Drafting Committee, led by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and its adoption on November 26, 1949. The celebrations were aimed at fostering awareness about the principles enshrined in the Constitution and reaffirming the organization's commitment to upholding its values.

On this occasion, Sh. R.K. Vishnoi, CMD, THDCIL, emphasized the importance of the Indian Constitution as the cornerstone of the nation's democracy. He stated, “The Indian Constitution is a testament to our country's unwavering commitment to equality, justice, liberty, and fraternity. It not only provides the framework for governance but also safeguards the fundamental rights and duties of every citizen. Constitution Day serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold and promote these values.”

As part of the observance, the Preamble of the Indian Constitution was recited by all the head of departments and employees of THDCIL. The recitation ceremony was led by Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), at Ganga Bhawan, Corporate Office, Rishikesh. In his address, Sh. Singh highlighted the vital role of the Constitution in promoting equality, social justice, and fraternity among all citizens. He remarked, “The Indian Constitution is a guiding light that inspires us to build a society rooted in fairness and inclusivity. It is our duty to live by its principles and ensure they reflect in our actions and decisions.”

The event also witnessed the presence of Sh. Bhupendra Gupta, Director (Technical), who underscored the importance of aligning organizational goals with the values enshrined in the Constitution. He stated, “THDCIL is deeply committed to fostering an environment that upholds the ideals of the Constitution. By integrating these values into our policies and practices, we aim to contribute to the nation's progress and uphold our social responsibilities.”

THDCIL reiterated its dedication to promoting the principles of the Indian Constitution, including equality, justice, and fraternity, in all aspects of its functioning. Constitution Day serves as an opportunity for the organization to reflect on its commitment to nation-building while fostering a culture of inclusivity and responsibility among its employees.
