THDCIL and MREL Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Renewable Energy Projects in Maharashtra

THDC India Limited and MAHAGENCO Renewable Energy Limited (MREL), Maharashtra singed a MoU for development of New Age Renewable Energy projects, aimed to facilitate the delivery of Clean and Affordable energy from diverse sources to effectively accelerate the implementation of NetZero strategy. The MOU was singed in the presence of Sh. Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Minister of Home, Law and Judiciary, Water Resources and Command Area Development, Energy, Protocol, Govt. of Maharashtra at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Sh. R. K. Vishnoi, Chairman and Managing Director, THDC India Limited (THDCIL), conveyed his heartfelt best wishes on this landmark MOU and said that THDCIL, is committed to the sustainable development of the nation through innovative Energy Solutions and leveraging its expertise in executing landmark Power Projects.

The signing of this MOU marks a substantial advancement in Maharashtra’s Energy infrastructure and underscores THDCIL’s and MREL’s commitment to advance the Nation’s Renewable Energy capabilities underscoring their commitment to achieve the NetZero targets. The planned projects under this MoU are the Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia (50 kTPA), Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)(500 MWh), Hybrid Solar(250 MW), Solar(500 MW), Floating Solar (250 MW), Wind & Off shore Wind (500 MW) and Self –identified PSPs (2200 MW).

The MoU, was signed by Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), THDCIL, and .Dr.P.Anbalagan (Chairman),MREL. Sh. Bhupender Gupta, Director (Technical), emphasized THDCIL’s steadfast commitment to India’s Clean Energy Goals said that this MOU represents the commitment of THDCIL and MREL to not only advance the Energy Infrastructure of the nation but also a significant step towards realizing shared vision of Sustainable and Renewable Energy growth.
