NEW DELHI- The technical bids for the MAHSR (Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail) Package C-3 were opened On April 12, 2023, marking another significant milestone in the ambitious high-speed rail project. The MAHSR Package C-3 involves the design and construction of civil and building works along a 135-kilometer alignment between Shilphata and Zaroli, including Thane, Virar, and Boisar HSR stations, situated on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border.
Four renowned construction companies submitted their bids for the project, namely M/s Larsen & Toubro Limited, M/s NCC-J.
Kumar (JV), M/s Afcons-KPTL Consortium, and M/s Dineshchandra-DMRC JV. The technical evaluation of the bids will be conducted to assess their compliance with the project requirements, and the financially qualified bidders will have their bids opened subsequently.
This development comes after the recent signing of the contract agreement for the Mumbai HSR Station (MAHSR Package C-1) on March 20, 2023, and the opening of financial bids for the construction of a tunnel for a double line between Mumbai HSR Station and Shilphata (MAHSR Package C-2) on April 6, 2023.

The project is expected to revolutionize transportation in India and boost economic growth by improving connectivity and promoting development along the corridor.
The MAHSR Package C-3 involves the construction of viaducts, bridges, tunnels, and a maintenance depot, as well as the building of three stations at Thane, Virar, and Boisar, along the 135-kilometer alignment.
This section of the project is critical to the overall progress of the high-speed rail corridor and is eagerly awaited by stakeholders and the public alike.
