In alignment with Govt. of India’s plan to accelerate e-mobility across the country, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment & Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation inaugurated Tata Power’s public chargers.

NEW DELHI- In alignment with Govt. of India’s plan to accelerate e-mobility across the country, Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment & Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation inaugurated Tata Power’s public chargers on the occasion of 133rd Birth Anniversary of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar on 14.04.2023 at Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar International Centre, 15, Janpath, New Delhi. This initiative has been taken by Dr. Ambedkar Foundation and Dr. Ambedkar International Centre to augment the “Go-Green initiative” of Shri Narendra Modi Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
Tata Power extends its special thanks to Dr. Virendra Kumar, Hon’ble Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment & Chairman, Dr. Ambedkar Foundation. This step shall go a long way in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the progress of the Country.
Tata Power, one of India's largest and fastest growing EV Charging solutions provider has installed EV Chargers equipped with two fast and one moderate charger that can easily be located by EV owners using Tata Power EZ Charge App. Tata Power has over 100 public / semi-public chargers installed across the national capital.

As the government has set a target of achieving 30% electric vehicle adoption by 2030, an increasing number of Electric Vehicles can be seen on the roads. Tata Power aims to reduce range anxiety among EV owners by setting up a widespread EV Charging infrastructure, and ensuring a smooth travel experience for them.
The inauguration of the new EV charging station is a significant step towards achieving the government's goal of promoting sustainable transportation and reducing carbon emissions.
Tata Power’s EV charging initiatives are in line with the Government of India’s National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP), which aims to develop electric vehicle charging infrastructure using the latest technological platform along with easy access to charging points for electric vehicles.

Through its widespread presence in the EV charging space, the company now energized more than 3000 public/semi-public chargers including 450 + charging points across 350 major highways along with 30000+ residential chargers.
Many of these charging stations are also equipped with fast charging technology and located at various strategic locations, such as malls, hotels, airports, and office complexes. The company has also kicked off an ambitious nationwide plan of setting up approx. 25,000 electric vehicle (EV) charging points across the country to support faster adoption of e-mobility over the next 5 years.
