Shri P.K.Sinha CMD NCL was addressing the closing ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week
Singrauli : CMD NCL Shri P.K.Sinha said that there is direct proportionality between transparency in work and coal production. He said that increasing transparency across the functional areas of the company has resulted in more coal production.
CMD NCL Shri P.K.Sinha was addressing the closing ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week held in NCL Officer’s Club in Singrauli on Tuesday and graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Shri Gunadhar Pandey, Director (Technical/Operations) NCL and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) NCL Shri Ashish Srivastava was present as guests of honour on this occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Sinha said that the word vigilance means the action or state of keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties. Vigilance should, thus, be seen as a measure of safeguard during the course of working rather than an impediment to work. He also said that increasing transparency through adoption of various IT initiatives like GeM, OITDS and this ilk has greatly reflected in coal production figures in direct proportionality. He congratulated Team NCL for being self-driven while conducting various activities during the Vigilance Awareness Week.
Director(Technical/Operations) NCL Shri Gunadhar Pandey said that vigilance is an ongoing process. He said that knowledge of right operating procedures will help employees make right decisions. He also said that integrity should be the way of life. Highlighting the participation of school students during the week, Shri Pandey said that inculcating moral values in children today will help them grow into responsible citizens tomorrow.
Underscoring the importance of preventive vigilance, CVO NCL Shri Ashish Srivastava said that confrontations and coercion can never lead to amicable working environs. He said it is important for each and every employee of the company to realise that they are in a position to effect perception of the company and hence they should align their actions accordingly. He expressed his happiness over the fact that Team NCL doesn't need micromanagement and is capable of working efficiently.
On this occasion, Vigilance special edition of in-house magazine of the company NCL Panorama was unveiled. Thematic skits and painting display was also organised. A rousing song by students of DPS Nigahi with rhythmic lyrics of ‘Coal India Ham’ emceed the event. The vote of thanks was presented by Shri Priyaranjan Kumar, GM(Vigilance).
On this occasion, Area General Managers of NCL, General Managers/HOD’s/Departmental Heads of various sections alongwith students, parents, teachers and large number of employees were present.
