Shri L. Chandrasekar assumes NLCIL office as CVO
Before assuming charge as Chief Vigilance Officer, NLCIL, Shri Chandrasekar worked as Deputy Inspector General of Forests (Central) in Integrated Regional Office of Ministry of Envt. Forest and Climate Change, Chennai.
New Delhi: Shri L. Chandrasekar, IFS, Former Dy. Inspector General of Forests (Central), Chennai, assumed office as the Chief Vigilance Officer of NLCIL today (09.04.2021)
Shri L. Chandrasekar, IFS belongs to 1997 batch of Indian Forest Service. Born and brought up in BHEL Township, Tiruchirapalli. He graduated from Tamilnadu Agricultural University(TNAU), Coimbatore in 1996 in Forestry. He completed his Post graduation in Forestry from the Forest Research Institute (FRI) of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA), Dehradun in 2000. Subsequently in 2008 he completed his PG Diploma in Public Policy and Management from IIM, Bangalore. At present he is pursuing his Ph.D from TNAU Coimbatore in Forestry.As a part of Forestry training Programs, Shri Chandrasekar has visited USA, Finland and Russia. He attended Public Administration Module from Maxwell School of Public Policy, Syracuse University, USA.
Shri Chandrasekar started his Professional Career as Assistant Deputy Conservator of Forests in Kerala Forest Department in Thrissur Forest Division. On Promotion as Deputy Conservator of Forests, worked as Divisional Forest Officer in Kothamangalam, Palakkad, Silent Valley National Park, North Wayanad and Parambikulam Tiger Reserve. He served as Principal of Forest Training School at Walayar. On Central Deputation to Government of India served as Lecturer in Central Academy for State Forest Service in Coimbatore. On Promotion as Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF) served as CCF (Social Forestry) in Ernakulam. Served as CCF cum Custodian of Private Forest in Palakkad.
