SECI - Yoga goes truly international on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2024
On IYD 2024, the SECI team, led by Director (Solar) Sh. Sanjay Sharma, performed Yoga at their booth.
Yoga, a gift from ancient India, is a trusted way to enhance physical and mental well-being. The word "Yoga" comes from the Sanskrit root "yuj," meaning "to join" or "unite." It symbolizes the union of mind and body, thought and action, and harmony between humans and nature, promoting holistic health. Thanks to the efforts of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi, the UN General Assembly declared June 21 as International Yoga Day (IYD). The UNGA recognized Yoga's holistic approach to health and its global benefits, sparking a health revolution emphasizing prevention over cure.
