New Delhi: The Chairman of Maharatna, and One of the largest steel producers in India, Steel Authority of India Limited, Smt. Soma Mondal is featured (rank: 67) in the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list by Forbes.

Smt. Mondal was featured in the business category. A graduate in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, in 1984, she has over 35 years of experience in the metal industry. She commenced her career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at NALCO and rose through the ranks to take over the mantle of Director (Commercial) at NALCO in the year 2014.
She is a member of the CII-National Committee on Steel and Chairperson of the CII sub-committee on ‘Safeguard for Tariff and Non-Tariff Barrier”.
