RINL’s entire dedicated workforce is behind significant turnaround of RINL: Dr. BN Singh, Former CMD, RINL

New Delhi: At a function held at Tenneti Viswanatham Auditorium at the learning & development centre of  Visakhapatnam Steel Plant today, Cheques for the two Merit Awards which are being instituted in the College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, in honor of two former CMDs of RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), Sri D.R. Ahuja Gold Medal in Mechanical Engineering and Dr B.N. Singh Gold Medal in Metallurgical Engineering in recognition of their outstanding contribution to RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant were presented to Prof. K.Venkata Subbaiah, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Andhra university in the august presence of Dr BN Singh, former CMD, RINL.

The cheques were presented by Dr YR Reddy, former Director (Personnel), RINL and Sri D. Adinarayana, General Secretary of the recognized union, Visakha Steelworkers union who instituted the awards in honour of the two former CMDS of RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), Sri D.R. Ahuja and Dr B.N. Singh in recognition of their outstanding contribution to RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant.

Addressing a full house gathering, Dr BN Singh said that he is dedicating the honour of instituting the merit award in his name to the entire workforce of RINL who are behind the success story of the turnaround of RINL. Dr BN Singh lauded the untiring dedication of the workforce of RINL.

In a televised video message, the 1st CMD of RINL Sri DR Ahuja complimented the RINL family for their significant efforts and dedication.

Sri BK Mohanty, CGM(Maintenance)-I/c, RINL who presided over the function highlighted the outstanding contribution to RINL, Visakhapatnam steel plant by the two former CMDs of RINL Sri D.R. Ahuja and Dr B.N. Singh.

Dr BN Singh released a book “corporate turnarounds & human resource management” authored by Dr YR Reddy, ex-Director (Personnel) on the occasion.

Several leaders of various trade unions, steel executive associations, senior officials, and retired senior officials of RINL also attended the programme.
