REC receives Swachh Bharat Puraskar
New Delhi: Union Minister for Ministry of Jal Shakti Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presented the Swachh Bharat Puraskar to REC Limited recently for its contribution to the Swachh Bharat Kosh of the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India.
The award was received by Mr. Ajoy Choudhary, Executive Director (Finance), REC and Mr. S.N. Srinivas, Chief Executive Officer, REC Foundation – the CSR arm of REC Limited at an event organized by Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation at Vigyan Bhawan.
Swachh Bharat Kosh was set up in 2014 by the Government of India to mobilise CSR towards achieving the objective of Clean India (Swachh Bharat). Till date, REC has contributed a total of Rs. 60 crore to the fund.
