State-run Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd (RCF) has sold 13,286 tonnes of sulfur-coated urea, branded as 'Urea Gold', across seven states since the beginning of its commercial production this year, as reported in Parliament on Friday, December 13.

The minister said sulphur-coated urea has better nitrogen use efficiency as compared to neem-coated urea. Further, sulphur-coated urea ensures reduced water pollution and salt index, avoids soil compaction and improves crop quality and yields.
