Rameswar Teli with IOCL Chairman declared LPG Week 2022 open

New Delhi: Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas , Labour and Employment, Mr Rameswar Teli, in the presence of Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas and Chairman, IndianOil & President- World LPG Association , Mr S M Vaidya, declared the World LPG Week 2022 open. The glittering opening ceremony is attended by global LPG stakeholders & energy leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Teli said, "Today, LPG has reached nearly every household in India & has brought in transformational changes by meeting citizens' energy needs while simultaneously improving quality of life & checking pollution". 

Mr Pankaj Jain said, "LPG's utility extends beyond its role as a cooking fuel, and we must explore ways to synthesise newer & effective usages of this powerful fuel to penetrate deeper into the global markets".

Earlier, welcoming the dignitaries, Mr S M Vaidya said, "India is one of the largest LPG markets in the world and a shining example of how the LPG industry's expanding footprint can change the lives of the country's poorest citizens. In India, LPG has catalysed energy justice, green focus and women empowerment.

 The theme of this edition of World LPG Week, Humanising Energy, would emerge as a catalytic mantra for our deliberations on this platform in India."
 
Elaborating on the focus of WLPGA, Mr Vaidya added, "LPG has played a unique role in different nations' distinct energy journey paths. As a leading global voice for LPG, WLPGA continues to be the flagbearer in promoting the cause of energy security, energy access and clean energy for global citizens".
