R Lakshmanan joins Shipping Corporation of India as Government Nominee Director

New Delhi: State-owned Shipping Corporation of India has stated that Shri R. Lakshmanan has been appointed by the competent authority as new Government Nominee Director of the Board.

The exchange filing made by the company is-

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) through vide letter dated 13.06.2024 has conveyed approval of the Competent Authority for the appointment of Shri. R. Lakshmanan, Joint Secretary, MoPSW as a Government Nominee Director on the Board of the Company.

Additionally, the company said, MoPSW vide the same letter dated 13.06.2024 has also informed that Shri. Sanjay Kumar, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor will cease to exist on the Board of the Company with immediate effect.

Hence, Shri. Sanjay Kumar, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor MoPSW, ceased to be a Government Nominee Director on the Board of the Company w.e.f. 13.06.2024, it added.
