New Delhi: Union Power and NRE Minister Shri R.K. Singh review reforms in the power sector with States and State Power Utilities, stressing on the importance of correct subsidy accounting and timely payment of subsidy dues.
The Hon'ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, Shri R.K. Singh, convened a Review Planning & Monitoring (RPM) meeting with States and State Power Utilities in New Delhi on 10th & 11th July 2023.

The Hon'ble Minister stressed on the importance of correct subsidy accounting by DISCOMS and timely payment of subsidy dues by respective State Governments.

The meeting also discussed various reforms undertaken in the Power Sector, including Renewable Generation Obligation, mandatory resource adequacy planning, and rationalisation of open access charges
