Project OIL Kusum launched by Oil India in Tripura under CSR initiative
The CSR project Project OIL Kusum was launched at Jolaibari RD Block by Shri Sukla Charan Noatia, Hon’ble Minister of Cooperation, Tribal Welfare (TRP & PTG), Welfare of Minorities, Government of Tripura in the presence of Dr. Manas Kumar Sharma, D(E&D), Oil India Ltd.
The ceremony was joined by Shri Pramod Reang, Hon’ MLA, Santirbazar, Tripura; Shri Pankaj Kumar Goswami, Dr. Ajit Kumar Shasany, Director, CSIR-NBRI; Shri Ranjan Goswami, ED(BD), OIL, Shri Sasanka Sekhar Deb, ED (FB), OIL and other officials of OIL and CSIR NBRI.
The idea behind the project, its overall design & development have been steered under the leadership of Dr. Manas Kumar Sharma Director (Exploration & Development), OIL, who visioned the benefits of this initiative to be directly impacting the lives of the people from Tripura
Read Also : BEL received Special Jury Supplier Award from ThalesSpeaking on the occasion, Hon’ Minister, Shri Sukla Charan Noatia said that Tripura welcomes such interventions and he believes that this project will be beneficial for the local communities & improve their livelihood through the use of scientific methods in floriculture.
The technical assistance and overall implementation of the project is being done by CSIR Institute a premier research institution in India known for doing botanical research and its applications in different fields.
