President, Murmu addressed JNU convocation

NEW DELHI- His Excellency President Smt. Draupadi Murmu ji addressed JNU convocation in the presence of Hon'ble Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan ji.

President of India Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji said that there is quality in JNU's study-teaching and research work. This quality is especially remarkable and appreciated. Among students graduating today, the number of women is more than men. 

This is a major aspect of social change. Mrs. Draupadi Murmu ji said that young students have an instinctive tendency to ask questions and use the test of logic, along with curiosity. 

This trend should always be encouraged. Dismissing or accepting ideas should be based on debate and dialogue.

Universities like JNU will contribute effectively in upholding the ideals of our freedom struggle, preserving the values of our constitution, achieving nation-building goals and working in the interest of the whole humanity.
