Union Minister Pralhad Joshi takes charge of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution
On the occasion of assuming charge, Shri Pralhad Joshi thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for giving him the opportunity.
New Delhi: Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi officially took charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, here today. Former Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Shri Piyush Goyal handed over the charge to Shri Joshi in the presence of Ministers of State Shri B.L. Verma and Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya.

Shri Joshi said “I am grateful that Hon’ble Prime Minister has given me the opportunity to serve in this Ministry that is directly related to serving 80 crore Indians.” Shri Joshi further said PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is a flagship scheme that provides free food grain through public distribution system. He said his priority will be to implement activities identified by the former Union Minister Shri Goyal in the first 100 days of the government.
