New Delhi: POWERGRID has acquired 3 TBCB Project SPVs - South Olpad Transmission Limited, Jam Khambhaliya Transmission Limited, and Rajasthan IV H1 Power Transmission Limited. These projects worth Rs. 8769 Cr. (as per NCT estimations) have been won by POWERGRID through the TBCB process.

The South Olpad Trans. System (NCT Cost of Rs. 4,766 Cr. vide 14th NCT meeting) shall execute project comprising of South Olpad GIS S/s, 765 kV & 400 kV D/c Transmission lines and associated bays extension works.

The Jam Khambhaliya Trans. System (NCT Cost of 329 Cr. vide 18th NCT meeting) shall execute the project comprising of augmentation of transformation capacity and associated bays extension works. This project shall enable the evacuation of power beyond 1.5 GW at Jam Khambhaliya using RE sources.

The Rajasthan IV H1 Power Trans. System (NCT Cost of Rs. 3,674 Cr. vide 14th NCT meeting) shall execute project comprising of Kurawar S/s, 765 kV & 400 kV D/c Transmission lines and associated bays extension works. This transmission project is a part of the comprehensive scheme to evacuate 5.5 GW and 2 GW of RE from the Jaisalmer/Barmer Complex and Neemuch/Mandsaur WEZ respectively.
