Paytm Foundation Wins Prestigious Mahatma Award for COVID-19 Humanitarian Effort
Mahatma Awards, instituted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Amit Sachdeva, also known as the ‘CSR Man of India’, is an initiative of Aditya Birla Group to honour social impact leaders and changemakers.
New Delhi: Paytm's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, Paytm Foundation, has won the Mahatma Award 2022 for COVID-19 Humanitarian Effort.
Mahatma Awards, instituted by entrepreneur and philanthropist Amit Sachdeva, also known as the ‘CSR Man of India’, is an initiative of Aditya Birla Group to honour social impact leaders and changemakers.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Our arm Paytm Foundation launched an #OxygenforLife initiative. Through this initiative, it made way for immediate relief by supplying oxygen concentrators and also enabled long-term oxygen capacity enhancement by government hospitals by setting up oxygen plants. Furthermore, the foundation also provided ancillary support in the form of ambulances.
We also launched a Vaccine Finder tool, through which millions of users from over 730 districts across India could book vaccine slots as per their preferred location and time.

Paytm Foundation is a Public Charitable Trust formed exclusively for philanthropic purposes in the areas of providing relief in times of natural calamities and disasters, supplementing need-based medical infrastructure across the country, education, financial literacy, welfare of persons with disabilities, advancement of sports and recreational facilities, sanitation, and advancement of any other object of general public utility.
